Fernando Clavijo coached the New England Revolution to their first .500 season and first MLS playoff victory (2000), plus a berth in the 2001 U.S. Open Cup final.
Others with New England ties selected were Tommy “Whitey” Fleming, John Harkes, Alex McNab, Werner “Scotty” Nilsen and Hank Steinbrecher, plus Marcelo Balboa, Johnny Nelson, Tab Ramos, Fabri Salcedo.
