From The Boston Globe: “Osborne, Harvard’s sturdy left tackle in the game with Yale a week ago, was the pivot around which swung the impregnable formation of the Crimson forward line in the intercollegiate championship soccer match with Columbia … Osborne proved himself a versatile football player, seeming quite as much at home on the soccer gridiron as in the American college game.”
As for the goal: “… Osborne and Brooks … worked the ball up the field. The ball went to A.N. Reggio at inside left sent a sizzling cross shot that beat Graybill into the net.”
A week later, Harvard and Haverford met for “the intercollegiate soccer championship. Both teams have so far gone through the season without a defeat.”
