Among the Boston Wonder Workers’ Second teamers were Weymouth’s Jimmy McGonnigal, who also boxed professionally. “James McGonigal” of Weymouth is listed as the 1925 U.S. Amateur lightweight champion.
Boston goalkeeper “Reker … had several shots to stop which he did in his own inimitable manner. During the in-between periods he did a marathon round the goal area. He was getting cold through inactivity and he did not care who knew it.” Vilhelm Rekker was a Danish goalkeeper who played two games for the Boston Wonder Workers in the American Soccer League.
