George M. Collins’ story in The Boston Globe: “Near the finish, Stevens was rushing the play and Carson saved his shot. Carson then rushed after Stevens. What he did was unseen by the writer, but one of the fans invaded the field and took a punch at the Bethlehem goalkeeper. Immediately, a crowd was on the field, but the police quickly restored order and the game was resumed.”
