Jan. 14, 2004 – Revolution sign Steve Nicol to two-year extension

Steve Nicol, twice named Revolution interim coach (in 1999 and 2002), signed his second contract as full-time coach. Nicol guided the Revolution to four MLS Cup finals appearances from 2002-07. In 2004, Nicol coached the Revolution to the third of seven successive Eastern Conference title games. Nicol compiled a 112W-108L-81D record with the Revolution, sixth on the all-time MLS win list.

Jan. 14, 2005 – Revolution select Michael Parkhurst with No. 9 pick in MLS SuperDraft

The Revolution also selected James Riley in the second round (21st overall) and Tony Lochhead in the third round (33rd overall).

Jan. 14, 2010 – Revolution select Zach Schilawski with No. 9 pick, Seth Sinovic in second round (25th overall), Zak Boggs in second round (31st overall)

The Revolution also traded Chris Albright to New York Red Bulls in exchange for a draft pick.

Jan. 14, 2016 – Former Berkshire School star Jack Harrison selected No. 1 by Chicago Fire

Harrison became the third successive player with New England ties selected No. 1 in draft, following UConn’s Andre Blake and Cyle Larin. The Revolution chose Jordan McCrary with No. 10 pick in MLS SuperDraft. Chris Aduama photo
