About 20,000 fans packed Nickerson Field, the crowd storming the pitch after a Pelé goal for the New York Cosmos was disallowed in the June 20, 1975 match.

Mayor Andrew B. Holstrom presented the outstanding player trophy to Ahlstrom, according to The Boston Globe. V. Ostlund scored twice as AIK took a 5-0 halftime lead. Moraes scored for Lusitano in the fourth minute of the second half. AIK had a 9W-2L-1D on tour (losses to Fall River and Vancouver). The AIK team included at least one national team player and a few multi-sport athletes, plus one who played for Sweden’s national team in ice hockey.
